About this event

"Diversity, or the state of being different isn't the same as inclusion. One is a description of what is, while the other describes a style of interaction essential for effective teams and organizations."

    -Dr. Bill Crawford, psychologist

What do the terms “diversity”, “equity”, and “inclusion” mean to you in the workplace? For some, it can be a calling and lifelong mission in the name of fairness or justice. For others, it can be confusing, isolating, or even concerning. No matter what emotion these topics elicit, one thing is clear; more honest, safe, and uncomfortable conversations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion are needed. In the spirit of collaboration and best practices - which is what we do so well in our Miro collaborations - let’s crack this subject open and have a great discussion!

Please join us on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 4:00 to 5:00 PM PST for an important discussion in VMUG 15: A Discussion About Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace.

We are so very pleased to welcome three passionate panel members:

  • Brittni Cocchiara, Sr. Community Marketing Manager at Webflow (and former Miro Community Marketing Manager and founder of the Miro community)
  • Melissa Jackson, Owner\Operator, Normel Solutions and former Miro User Group speaker on Team Health Checks
  • Moradeyo Adeyi, an Equity and Inclusion Consultant and Licensed Master Social Worker with a strong desire to cultivate inclusive and anti-oppressive workspaces through training and education

This panel will share their experiences, challenges, and stories of success as they relate to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, and then they are ready to listen, understand, and respond to your thoughts and questions.

RSVP for this free event now, and be sure to include any experiences or questions that you might have for our panel in the registration form. We will make sure that your comments and questions will be kept anonymous, so you can feel free to share your open and honest thoughts.

We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event as our panel will share their insights and LOTS of expert knowledge for you to bring back to your workplace where you can continue this important discussion.
